At 21:45 on 6/11/2020, EEMC-built AT2 220kV-250MVA substation was successfully put into operation at the 220 kV Kien Binh Substation in Kien Binh commune, Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province. Four years ago, the EEMC-built AT1 220kV-250MVA 220kV-250MVA was successfully shut down.
Responding to the call for emulation of Vietnam Electricity Group and Vietnam Electricity Union on commercial electricity growth in the opening phase of the country's development strategy 2020-2025, the earlier completion of the assigned plan for the project "Raising the capacity of Kien Binh 220 kV Substation from (125+250) MVA to 2 x 250 MVA and expanding 02 220kV highway compartments at The station" brings many practical benefits in socio-economic development for the region: strengthening regional power system link, ensuring stable power supply for the region, attracting investment in Kien Giang province and contributing to the development of Vietnam transmission grid.
With a total investment of VND77 billion for this period invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), SPMB on behalf of EVNNPT manages the project and handed over power transmission company 4 to take over the operation management, along with other contractors, EEMC is honored to be one of the units contributing to the success chain of this project.
