EEMC – PROUDLY DELIVERING AUSTRALIAN-STANDARD POWER TRANSFORMERS
In June 2025, EEMC (Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation) successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a 70MVA – 132/33kV power transformer bound for Australia.
This transformer, designed and manufactured by EEMC, will be installed at the Clements Gap Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located in Adelaide, South Australia. This is EEMC’s first power transmission transformer export to Australia, marking a significant step in our international journey.
Meeting Australia’s Highest Standards
The transformer was custom-built to meet the strict technical requirements of the Australian power industry and the specific demands of our client. To ensure the highest quality, the client appointed a team of seven Australian experts representing the investor, EPC contractor, and consulting firm to directly witness the entire five-day FAT process.
At the 500kV EEMC Testing Laboratory, the transformer successfully passed all critical tests, fully complying with the technical specifications as per the signed contract. Our Australian partners expressed great satisfaction with the product’s quality and were especially impressed by the clean, well-organised assembly workshop, the high-standard testing environment, and our attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
On the Way to South Australia
The 70MVA – 132/33kV transformer is scheduled to be shipped to Australia in July 2025 and is expected to be installed and energised at the Clements Gap BESS project by September 2025. This project plays a key role in supporting Australia’s green energy transition and climate action goals.
The success of this project is a proud milestone for EEMC. It proves that our capability and product quality are ready for the global stage, especially in demanding markets like Australia. EEMC is committed to continuously delivering world-class products that meet international standards and contribute to sustainable energy development worldwide.
